LITURGY

Thank you for your willingness to serve! Our parish is deeply grateful for your commitment.  Your dedication and service are important to our parish. You have a place of honor at Mass because you assist the priest in many ways.  As we are in the presence of Jesus our king, your attention, dignity, and reverence in performing your assigned duties is truly appreciated by the parish.

The Liturgy Ministry includes Readers, Extraordinary Ministers, Altar Servers, Ushers and Greeters.

Readers - are parishioners who in a particular liturgy are assigned to read a Biblical text other than the Gospel.

Extraordinary Ministers - Catholic lay person who assists in the distribution of Holy Communion, either during the Mass, or afterwards, such as to housebound persons.

Altar Servers - are lay assistants to a member of the clergy during a Christian liturgy. An altar server attends to supporting tasks at the altar such as fetching and carrying, ringing the altar bell, among other things. If young, the server is commonly called an altar boy or altar girl.

Ushers & Greeters - are the first point of contact for the communal celebration of the Liturgy. They welcome members of the church and promote a sense of welcoming and belonging to all the faithful assembled for worship.

There are many opportunities in the Liturgy Ministry

to support St Mary!

We are in dire need of Extraordinary Ministers and Servers. Training will be provided.
